The Process

1.    Help your parents read Goodnight Moon with you.  Tell your parents the names of your friends in the story.  Point to the friends in the story as your parents name them.

2.    Go outside in the daytime and look at the sky.  Go outside at night and look at the sky.  Talk about what you see in the sky with your parents.  Name three things you see at night in the sky and three you see in the day.

3.    Cut out pictures of things to do at night.  Cut out pictures of things to do in the daytime. 

4.    Play a Match Game by mixing up your pictures and matching them to a or .

5.    Sing "Mr. Moon, Moon" to the tune of "Mr. Sun".

6.    Sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and let your fingers sparkle like a star.

7.    Make a Moon Muffin using an English muffin and yellow cheese.  Bake it in the oven and have a snack before bedtime.
