| The study of World Religions is only one of several historical units covered in Core Knowledge. Religion is an important part in the civilization story. Children are introduced to the major world religions by focusing on geography, symbols, and people. This study is not an attempt to teach theology, but to give children some background and vocabulary for understanding historical ideas and events. The goal is only to educate in a respectful balance. It is never implied that any of these religions are in the past. Questions as to truth are referred to parents. |
