Before you begin the novel, I found an "Anticipation Guide" in a KIDREACH Online Reading Center Site.  The following questions are used to introduce issues and ideas that you may confront when you read this novel.  They are designed toencourage you to think.  I have pasted the 9 questions onto a page for you to print out so that you may look at your answers when you finish reading the novel to see if you feel differently at the end.
