Task:  As the Legal Advisor, you will locate and explain legislation that has been passed to protect marine mammals inhabiting the coastal waters of the Lowcountry.

3. Explain the South Carolina Marine Resources Act of  2000.
4. Explain your findings by writing text for two PowerPoint slides entitled, Legislative Action.

Question:  Why does the South Carolina Aquarium not have dolphins on display?
Answer:  It is against the law.

Question:  Is South Carolina the only state where it is against the law to keep dolphins in captivity?
Answer:  South Carolina is the only state in the country that does not allow marine mammals to be on display in Aquariums.
