PROCESS

Step 1. Choose two Eric Carle picture books to read.

Step 2. You may go to the Listing for Eric Carle's books to make your selections.

Step 3. Write your book choices on the Project Book Selection Sheet.  Write the title of the book you will use to create the character  bookmark. Write the title of the book you will use for questions and answers activities.

Step 4. Read both books.  Record the date you read each book on the  Project  Reading Sheet.  Begin working on comprehension activity1.

Step 5.  Read Biographical Notes for Eric Carle.  Don't forget to record the date you read the information on your Reading Sheet. Complete activity 2.

Step6. A.Create a book mark.   Bookmark Front Side The front side of the bookmark should: a.  Identify the book title. b. Name the character/s. c. Illustrate the character/s .   d. Tell something about the character/s Bookmark Back Side   Write a brief biographical summary about Eric Carle.
