"If A is success in
life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and
z is keeping your mouth shut."
Albert Einstein
"Don't say things.
What you are stands over you the while, and thunders so that I
cannot hear what you say to the contrary."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Using the Internet to Create Thematic Units
Using
thematic units in the curriculum has long been recognized as an
effective teaching strategy. With Internet use teachers can add
technology projects to instructional units to increase student
learning and achievement.
The Department of Educational Technology offers a graduate level
course in integrating technology into thematic unit planning.
Technology projects are highly motivational for students and also
prepare them for 21st century skills.
Please review some of the thematic units that CCSD teachers
have created that integrate technology into various curriculum
areas:
Freedom
The Faces of Africa
World War II
Teenage Responsibility
Environmental Change
The Big Red Barn
Everything Changes
