Inclusion in Charleston County
School District
In
inclusive schools, special education services are provided as
a support for students who need them to achieve the outcomes expected
of all students in general education. To the maximum extent possible,
included students receive their in-school educational services
within the general education classroom with appropriate in class
support. In inclusive schools, special education teachers have
the role of co teacher and collaborator with the general education
teacher in classrooms that serve their students.
